Zeppelin 100 Jahre Herrklocka Silver 7640M-1

A really lovely looking watch, the slightly off-white face gives it an aged look that works brilliantly. The Milanese strap is comfortable and easy to adjust and WatchShop were great on price.

Ordered the watch and paid on 25th of feb 16 at 1232hrs, and the watch reaches my door in Singapore on 27th feb 1800hrs.\r\nCome in with a beautiful Zeppelin Box,Brand new with original Plastic wrap around the band and watch itself, ,a simple manual ,a Dated invoice to be use with the Zeppelin 2 years warranty card. I would suggest that you monitor the watch for accuracy and functions for 48hours before you tear out the wrapper, Accuracy wise I have been monitoring the watch for a week and so far within 1second\r\nI have been shopping for this watch and Ran into watch shop with the best price. I have never bought a watch online before .but the local shop was trying to sell me the watch for 25% more .even with the usual PayPal exchange rate and stuff. I still save around a hundred S$ .i have discovered that there are watchshop coupon floating around in the web that will give me a further 6% discount or Free Gift only after I’ve made payment.\r\nDidn’t ask for free bracelet adjustment, the bracelet uses double side spring pins for attaching the bracelet to the watch and for links. A sim card pin will do the job nicely.\r\nVisual inspection Flawless. The face of 7640m-1 is not white like in the Photo but rather a metallic light champagne color but I already know that and love the watch for it. Even chose it over the black face version which comes with Lumi Hands. The big date is helpful. Its weights like a man’s watch .the bottle cap glass, the classy hands and face gives it a very retro look. Excellent German workmanship down to every details. Easily to read, ready to wear ,That is really nothing to pick, which is unusual even for watches with bigger names and price tag. Its shows the class and taste of a man. This watch show off you. Rather than the other way around. A suggestion. Anyway you guys could make it possible to me to pre-book any zeppelin watch that are not on display on your site? Since you are the distributor for the brand.

My previous watch a Fossil which I absolutely loved! was stolen from me in Leeds City Centre whilst I was actually wearing it! I noticed an hour later when I tried to check the time. I knew how, who and when… But unfortunately, I was far too late in noticing, and CCTV was not on my side.
So I needed a new watch…
After scouring the Watch shop for a few days, and shortlisting a few similar to my previous watch, I suddenly stumbled upon this Zeppelin 100 Jahre… It immediately caught my eye, and despite searching for a few more days, I was always drawn to it - It was clearly a sign, so I ordered it for collection from Goldsmiths in Leeds centre. It arrived very promptly the following day, which was great!
No exaggeration… This watch looks 1000 times better in the fleshmetal! It is simply stunning. Classic, yet modern at the same time, and the price is a steal! Instant adoration!
The watch was, as predicted too big on arrival, so I needed some links removing. This is where the problems started… The assistant who presented me with the wacth said shed never seen links like those on the back of the Zeppelin… And therefore was not confident in giving it a go, she instead recommended we go to the larger Goldsmiths in a shopping centre on the outskirts of Leeds, as they were only a boutique store, and the watch specialists worked at the larger store only. It being Saturday afternoon, I was happy to take a trip the following day to the White Rose Shopping Centre to get it sorted.
I received the same response from the initial member of staff at the larger branch. He then said he would ask The Watch Specialist, a chap called Jamie, who was incredibly rude. Jamie said Ive not seen anything like that before… I cant do it. And then proceeded to serve another customer. After pressing, he eventually recommended Timpson, a locksmiths thankfully a 1 minute walk away, and theyd reimburse the cost but they didnt want to attemp it either… So I went back and I spoke to the deputy manager, Andrea, more helpful, but not particularly empathetic either! who said that Goldsmiths & The Watch Shop are co-owned, but do not sell the same products, but asked me to leave it with her and shed call me the following day to give me an update. I did this.

I waited till 4pm the next day. I called them. They didnt call me. I eventually spoke to a chap called Carl, who was also a watch specialist, and also was reluctanct to give it a go. The difference, however, was Carl was friendly, empathetic, and explained in great detail that he is indeed a watch specialist, but has not seen links of this kind, and there were no instructions in the box or on the watch itself many have little arrows to indicate removable pins so was in the dark. He said the reason he was nervous about trying to remove the links was because Goldsmiths do not sell this brand, and therefore they have no cover if he gets it wrong. If it were a brand they sold… He would be covered to order a replacement if something was damaged. I asked him if he could call Watch Shop, or try and seek advice to see if he could give it a go. He said give me 20mins…

Thankfully, just 10mins later he called me back to say hed done a little research and has succeeded in removing the links, I called in later in the week, and all was finally sorted! He said it was SUPER easy in the end. Each link on the back is attached with spring pins which you can just compress and slide the links out to the side. Thank you Carl, for putting in a little bit of extra effort to sort this out!

1. Zeppelin should give a little instruction booklet.
2. Watch Shop should ensure Goldsmiths are trained on their watches if theyre acting as a pickup point and offering a complimentary adjustment service.
3. ALL Goldsmiths employees should be competent in good customer service!

My watch now fits. It is perfection!

Look and feel of quality.

I think theyre a very handsome range of watches. I was looking specifically for German watches which is how I found them. The quality of manufacture is absolutely superb as one would expect and they are supremely comfortable to wear. Ive bought one and will order two more models when stock is available. The automatic movements are Swiss but they are hand assembled in Germany.

When the watch arrived the day after I had ordered it I opened the box beautifully crafted in a tastefully understated case and saw the 100 Jahre for the first time. An ideal size for me I have a large wrist and beaufully proportioned. The hands are very delicate for a large mans watch and the dial clear and very easy to read. The hands all align perfectly over the time divisions on the dial which is not always the case with quartz watches at this money - this tells me that the watch has been carefully constructed with some skill. I really like the fact that it is hand built and not machine made.

The watch itself is very easy to adjust and set. Likewise the band.

The band is comfortable and in my view very smart. I dont wear watches with leather straps because my hands are regularly in water and I dont like damp watch bands. This strap overcomes that problem. The strap was too long on delivery but that was easy to adjust at home. The ideal tool for this is the SIM card pin from an I-Phone. Perfect for the job.

I really like this watch and only hope that Zeppelin bring out a version with an automatic mechanical movement and the same strap - I will certainly buy it.

I purchased this watch for a birthday present. The watch was lovely, however was too big and needed links taken out. We took the watch to a goldsmiths, where I had the watched delivered, to get the links removed, we asked a member of staff who looked at the watch and told us that they were not able to remove the links as they did not know how and advised us to go elsewhere. We were incredibly disappointed as this, as the watch shop had advised to visit a Goldsmiths if needed. We next visited another store who offered this service, they also did not know how to remove links of this kind. We therefore looked at the watches page on the watch shop to see if there was any information to see what type of links the watch had or instructions on how to remove them. There was absolutely no information on the website nor the leaflets in the box, nor the watch itself. This was incredibly frustrating as the watch was a birthday present and has not been able to be worn as it is far too big. The watch was perfect other than this and therefore disappointing that neither the watch shop its self or Goldsmiths were unable to give us any help whatsoever, absolutely unacceptable.

The rating I am giving is purely based on the watch as it is lovely and our merit therefore goes to Zeppelin for producing this gorgeous watch.

The watch did arrive promptly and wrapped nicely although the tag with my message printed on it was shoddy, the message was stuck on creased and tiny compared to the size of the tag.

Very disappointed with the watch shop and Goldsmiths.
